OUR COMMUNITY

Creating long-term change within our local communities.

We’re committed to driving positive social and environmental change and creating opportunities for our colleagues to make a lasting impact. By harnessing the strength and breadth of the global Harrods network and working with carefully selected charity partners, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve. Creating opportunity, inspiring creativity and protecting the environment helps us play our part in securing a healthy planet and better future for generations to come.

Our Partners and Employee Volunteering

We have supported a variety of charities over the years through volunteering, payroll giving, in-kind support and dedicated fundraising campaigns. To support our new Community Pillar strategy, we have established five key partnerships with national charities and local community partners: The Prince’s Trust, WEST Youth Zone, The British Red Cross, St Cuthbert’s Centre and Albrighton Community Fridge.

  • NSPCC Partnership

    The Prince's Trust

Founded in 1976 by HM King Charles III, The Prince’s Trust helps young people aged 11–30 from disadvantaged communities build the confidence and skills to live, learn and earn.

  • WEST Youth Zone

    WEST Youth Zone

OnSide’s Youth Zones provide state-of-the-art facilities, activities, training and mentoring programmes for young people across the UK. We have partnered with the WEST Youth Zone, which opened in Hammersmith and Fulham in April 2024.

  • Employee volunteering

    The British Red Cross

The British Red Cross provides vital support to individuals and communities in crisis worldwide. We have been supporting the charity since March 2023 through regular donations of surplus stock, including clothing, accessories, beauty products and homeware.

  • Cuthberts

    St Cuthbert’s Centre

St Cuthbert’s Centre is a community hub in Earl’s Court which tackles homelessness, isolation and food waste in the community. Harrods colleagues regularly help out with the centre’s daily lunch service, or offer their unique skills to support the charity in other ways.

  • Kitchen

    Albrighton Community Fridge

The Albrighton Community Fridge is a South-East London charity that aims to reduce food waste and feed those in need. We donate surplus produce from our Food Halls every evening – to date, we have supplied over 66 tonnes of bread, charcuterie, patisserie and more.

  • Harrods Day

    Harrods Charity Days

Each year, we give every colleague an additional day of paid leave to volunteer with a charity of their choice. In 2023, our people spent 193 days volunteering with charities close to their hearts and communities.
