Floor-to-ceiling windows and a retro-inspired curation of furniture and accessories were used to brighten up a serene two-storey house in Potter’s Bar.

Bathed in natural light, the open-plan living space provides the perfect environment for a family. The interiors approach was to bring together custom joinery, specialist wallpapers, bespoke furniture and statement patterns, neatly tied together with warm hues and luxurious finishes.

The outcome is ‘modern retro’. Drawing inspiration from the 1960s and ’70s, the team brought together signature retro styles and modern silhouettes: think rounded shapes, high-gloss finishes, pops of colour and animal-print details set against traditional materials and neutral tones.

The rejuvenated interior tells a story of contrasts. Earthy colours and gold accents are set against opulent patterns and statement features, with stark white tones exaggerating splashes of colour in the built-in orangery.
