Mayfair
Mayfair
Exclusivity and sophistication are the markers of Mayfair living. It’s a location known for its manicured greenery, designer boutiques and world-class restaurants. So, for this property – a charming pied-à-terre – the Harrods Interior Design team drew inspiration from the most luxurious of sources: couture fashion and opulent jewels.
Timeless brass detailing features alongside solid wood throughout. In the reception room, Calacatta marble is showcased on both the coffee table and the intricate pattern of the Tibetan wool-and-silk rug. This flows through to the dining room too, where a Calacatta marble table takes pride of place in front of a modern plaster wall.
The couture inspiration is most evident in the property’s bespoke furniture planning. Made-to-measure joinery features in the reception room and there’s custom banquette seating in the dining room – functional, yet elegant furniture.
With the neutral colour scheme and natural references, the Harrods Interior Design team were able to create a sense of serenity. In the first bedroom, this is achieved through leaf-patterned wallpaper and floral artwork. In the second, it’s the shagreen bedside tables and woven wallpaper.
But the palette showcases some bright jewel tones too. From the cushions to the artwork and the statement table lamps, you’ll find teal, burgundy and, of course, gold.
