Interior Motives

How would you describe your personal design style?
My personal design style embraces the concept of less is more, where every element of a space is thoughtfully curated to exude a sense of refined opulence. Clean lines, minimalistic décor and a subdued colour palette form the backdrop, allowing a few carefully chosen, high-quality furnishings to take centre stage. It’s a design style which whispers luxury through its restraints, where the beauty lies in the details, and every item has a purpose and a place.

What would your dream home look like?
My dream home would be a social oasis crafted for entertaining. Spacious and interconnected living areas that flow seamlessly would create the ideal setting for hosting family, friends and guests. The heart of the home would be a large kitchen for making memories and celebrating the art of living. And there would be a dining room with a large table to indulge my passion for tablescaping.

How do you approach interior design?
My perspective is holistic. I consider the entire environment and all its elements to create a balanced and harmonious space. I like to strike a balance between aesthetics and functionality and choose materials that align with the clients’ lifestyle and values.

Where do you find inspiration?
I find inspiration from many places, such as travel, showrooms, galleries and nature. Travel is such a great form of inspiration, as you get to experience different cultures. Their design aesthetics can offer unique inspiration. Inspiration is always around you so I like to be curious.

What’s your favourite part of the creative process?
Selecting fabrics and finishes is my favourite part. Putting a scheme together by introducing various textures and layers.
