The founder of Bamford Watch Department – George Bamford – has always held sports watches in high regard, to the point where he started customising them at just 18 years old. The story that followed is one for the books, as the pioneer continued to modify deluxe timepieces on a far wider scale. Requests varied per customer, from DLC coatings to dials that have been colour-matched to a specific lipstick shade. The expertise doesn’t stop there: the watchmaker is just as informed at building its own masterpieces, with a favourite being the Bamford GMT – one for the globetrotting horophile, it's been expertly designed to track an additional time zone.
